I needed to take a little break from Blogging and Social Media – just a little breather! But now I am back and getting down to business.
Today’s Blogging Challenge is influenced by an unforgettable day in my life. Ofcourse the two most obvious days of my life were Our Wedding and the day that Jack was Born. But as you can see I have already spoken a lot about these (visit the pages linked if you haven’t already read them).
So today I am going to reflect on the day we found out we were pregnant! 🙂💙
It was January 20th 2018 and I was feeling dreadful! I hadn’t been feeling myself for a while but being the person I am I put it down being back at work after Christmas, hard Crossfit workouts and general butning the candle at both ends!
A few days before I felt a lump on my groin and I panicked. I made an appointment with the doctor and was booked to see him the next week. So again, I was putting my overall tiredness down to this mysterious lump!
On the day we found out we were visiting family and my Dad jokingly stated he thought I was pregnant. We both laughed this off and felt there was no way that would be the case. So much so we completely passed it off and didn’t think about it again until later on that day. We went shopping; had a Nandos and had our typical Saturday. Later on that night Jamie was rummaging up stairs and found a pregnancy test that we bought months ago and suggested I try it ‘just incase’ my Dad was right! We were ao convinced it wouldn’t be positive that Jamie stayed down stairs, and I continued getting ready for bed. Then as soon as I walked back in the bathroom the test caught my eye! It was positive!!!
I shouted Jad and in his words he says “the minute I heard my name I knew we were pregnant”. I ran down the stairs holding the test, gave it to Jad and ran back up in a state of shock! Jamie was buzzing. He was trying to hug me and smiling and being the happiest wee Dad to Be ever. I on the other hand was freaking out! I have always wanted a Baby but the fact I was pregnant completely shocked me! HOW ON EARTH DID THIS HAPPEN?!
I stripped down, sat on the toilet and tried to breath haha! It was a crazy few minutes! Eventually I calmed down – slighy and we had the biggest cuddle. That night I barely slept; I got out of bed at 5, drove to Asda ans bought a bunch of other tests – they were all positive! 😂
And now, almost 14 Months later we have a gorgeous little 5and a half month lad! 💙
